Forward

Born in Dublin in 1970, Paul Regan has been based in Ireland where he works full-time on paintings, prints and (most recently) sculpture for exhibition and commission.

The images of artworks which appear on this website are mainly selected from various solo exhibitions dating back to 1992. Although there are some texts on this website (in the form of exhibition reviews), Paul Regan does not make "artist statements" or comments on the works.

Notes on materials and media

The labelling of each artwork refers to title, year of execution, media and dimensions. The majority of the paintings are painted on to wood panel; this support is generally 15 or 18 mm MDF (medium density fibreboard), although works produced up to 1997 are also painted on 18 mm white melamine-coated chipboard. The medium of “oils” refers to artists’ oil paints as well as household solvent based gloss paints. “Emulsion” refers to acrylic based artists’ paints as well as household acrylic based water soluble paints.
Prints on paper are on 190 gsm radiant white archival watercolour paper using a Giclée process. This is a digital process which uses dye-based archival quality inks in a six colour photographic printer.

Pricing

Artworks that are available for purchase appear only pages that have a “PRICE” button at the top right side of the page. Prices for these available works will be provided on request; see “CONTACT” or “PRICING” page. On image pages where the “PRICE” buttons does not appear, the artwork on display is not available (it can be assumed that generally these works are in private collections).
